Artist's statement:

"It is my desire to convey the mood of a place, a sense of isolation, of being solitary in nature more than
anything else."

"The landscapes I paint are broken down to their simplest form in the sense that I don't include too
much information with regard to detail and color; I am a tonalist at heart."

"Simplifying the landscape lends itself to creating a painting that I hope is meditative, peaceful and inspires
reflection...like taking a momentary trip to a serene and simple place that is as yet unspoiled."
